College of Arts and Creative Enterprises

Dean’s Message.

Welcome to the College of Arts and Creative Enterprises (CACE).

Art and Design has never been more important than now as societies around the world are challenged by interconnected issues. Art has a major importance in the UAE and modern society in general as it defines us as individuals and as a society, making us better people. With design, policymakers and business leaders are increasingly understanding the significant value that design can bring with its ability to communicate and frame problems with different perspectives.

Within CACE, our students have an intensive, active and interactive, personal and collaborative learning experience. CACE utilizes the latest technology in the classrooms and labs, providing students with new and exciting possibilities in the creation of their works, as a means of promoting and disseminating their work and as new outlets for their creativity. Students learn by theory and by practice as well as fostering a strong collaboration with the UAE art, design and museum community at large. CACE students are trained to focus their talents not only on the appearance of things, but to question why things are as they are, and more importantly what they could be in the future.

We prepare exceptional students and our alumni extend this ethos at graduate schools and in industry and government, impacting art and design around the world.
