The Flame
As an interior designer, I’ve always been interested in human psychology, through studying human body movements. I am committed to designing with sustainability in mind whenever possible and with a primary focus on clients’ needs and visions. In my design practice, I begin concepts by sketching a simple shape and build upon it. Therefore, shapes are a creative starting tool to deliver inspirational designs. I attempt to work with the human actions within a space and focus on the functionality of the design at hand. Since then, it made me passionate about youths’ lifestyle. For my Senior Project, I choose a site that is a Supermarket in the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, AlMoazaz Area, and convert it into a youth activity center as per the site survey of the area needs I called my project’’ The Flame ‘‘. The flame is a place to discharge the energy of the youths in a fun and safe environment. It’s to attract them to their passions. The project is divided into two pain spaces Survival and Creative. Survival Zone activities such as Boxing Arena, Judo, and PlayStation room. The Creative Zone Includes Workshops, Painting Room, and a Music room in addition to Restaurant, Coffe Shop, Store, Exhibition and Silent Disco area, Cinema, Billiard, Board games room, Offices, and Prayer rooms.
